Serve 6
3 large tart apples.
10 slices bacon.
4 T. sugar.
Peel and core apples and slice thickly. Cook bacon in skillet with tight fitting lid. Remove bacon leaving 1/4 c. grease. Add apple slices and dust with sugar. Cover and cook over low heat until apples are tender. Remove cover and turn apples carefully. Brown lightly. Serve on hot platter with bacon chunks.
