1 cup of buckwheat flour
1 cup of white flour
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. of baking powder
1 T. of sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 1/4 cups of milk
1/4 cup of melted butter
Sift flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Add egg, milk, and melted butter. Bake on hot griddle.
For lighter cakes, separate egg and fold in white last.
Batter will be thick but do not thin.
Optional: add fresh fruit
