The Best Banana Bread presented by The Villa at Messina Hof Email this page to a Friend
1 3/4 cup flour
1 generous cup mashed ripe bananas
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
2/3 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 X 5 loaf pan with “pam”.
Cream together the sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat until it looks creamy.
Mix together dry ingredients and then add to creamed mixture, alternating with mashed bananas.
Pour into baking pan and bake for one hour.
