Maple Syrup Pie presented by The Inn at Ludington

8 or 9 inch unbaked pie crust
1 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed (Or use maple sugar if available)
2 Large eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
2 Tablespoons melted butter
Beat eggs and sugar in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth. Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 ° for 40-60 minutes, until top is puffed and browned, but filling is still slightly jiggly in center. Allow to cool before serving.
Beat 1/2 cup cream (remaining in pint carton) until soft peaks from. Serve pie topped with whipped cream.
Serves 8-10.
