- 5 large potatoes
- salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 6 sliced mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
- Dash worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup brown gravy
- 1 10oz. package from peas
Cook potatoes in salted water. Drain, cool, and peel. Mash in a large bowl with butter, milk, and salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
Saute beef until brown, stirring to keep crumbly. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add tomato, tomato paste, mushrooms, parsley, worcestershire sauce, and gravy. Stir to mix.
Place peas in a 9" x 12" baking dish. Add meet mixture and place mashed potatoes on top. Place in a preheated 400 degree oven for 40 minutes or until top i crispy brown.
Serves 6.
