Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/4 teas. baking powder
1/2 teas salt
2 tablespoons Crisco
3/4 cup milk
Sift dry ingredients, work Crisco,stir in just enough milk to moisten mixture: roll it out on a floured board to 1/4 inch thick, spread with filling mixture, Finely chopped (nuts, raisins or others may be used for filling) roll up and cut into 1/2 inch thick: Place cut edge down in a deep baking pan rubbed with Crisco. Bake in a moderate oven 350 degrees farenheit,15 minutes.
Filling:
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg yolk
Cream Crisco with sugar and cinnamon, add egg yolks.
