Introduction

The Straup House

Savor the charm of staying in a traditional Pennsylvania farmhouse and enjoy your privacy, with the security of knowing that the proprietors are next door, if needed. Steeped in family and local history, the three bedroom white frame guest house grew from the simple 1850's stone homestead house which has been in our family for four generations. Our "Country Style" home still has many of the original furnishings, blended with cottage accents complementary to their time. Today, Straup House is located in a quiet residential area of Palmerton. Our tree-lined lot is one of the largest in town and is within walking distance of town, the Palmerton Pool and a lovely nature trail.

Our guest bedrooms are located on either side of the house (one room with a king bed and one with a queen bed). Both are convenient to the shared bathroom. The house is ideal for a family on a skiing vacation or for two couples vacationing together.

Rest assured that your vehicles will be safe in our large, off-street parking area. Storage space is available for your sports equipment.

Policies
  • Arrival: 3 pm; Departure: 11 am
  • We accept Cash, MasterCard and Visa
  • If staying one night, a 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation.
  • One night's lodging required for all others, with balance due at check in.
  • ATM machines are available in Palmerton, only a few blocks away.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to check in or your deposit will be charged a 10% cancellation fee.
  • "No shows" - No Return of deposit.
  • No Smoking Permitted inside home.
  • No pets.
  • Children over the age of Twelve are welcome but must be pre-approved.
