Thompson, IV for a two-hour discussion of JEB Stuart?s Civil War. Travel to Gettysburg to experience the Civil War, touring the Battlefields of Gettysburg on horseback. ATTENTION: Long Distance and Day/Overnight Cyclist in Central PA, Western Maryland, West Virginia, and Washington, DC.
Now there is a bike trail linking BikePA Route ?S? to the Maryland O.C. to Oakland Scenic Route (C&O Canal ? Washington, DC) and /or connecting into West Virginia at Martinsburg/Winchester.
?This link allows the cyclist a new adventure through the fertile, PA Cumberland valley. Scenic rural farms and roads exist along with small historic towns. Colonial Forts on the Tuscarora Frontier (1755-1763) have been documented by the Conococheague Institute at Rock Hill Farm, Mercersburg, PA 17236. Mercersburg and Williamsport look forward to servicing your needs.?

FROM: BikePA Route ?S? at Ft. Loudoun PA75 South.
At the intersection where Route ?S? turns East on to US40, stay on PA Route 75.
Take PA Route 75 into Maryland where it turns to MD Route 57.
Stop/stay in Mercersburg for fortification and rest.
At the end of MD57 turn left (East) on to US Route 40.
At the intersection of US40 and US11 turn right (South) to Williamsport.
Turn east on to the C&O Canal to Washington, DC.

Continue South on US11 into West Virginia to Martinsburg/Winchester.

Take US Route 11 North to US Route 40 West.
