Introduction

The Inn at Solvang is situated four miles north of Huntingdon on Route 26. Surrounded by forests and spacious lawns, the three story, brick, southern colonial home provides a tranquil retreat, or a gracious alternative to motel or hotel accommodations. Privacy is yours, as well as the convenience of an innkeeper just steps away.

Originally designed and built by Huntingdon attorney C. Jewett Henry and his wife Phyllis, the home is filled with furnishings and collectibles reminiscent of their lives - a grand piano and harpsichord in the music room, an abundance of classic books shelved throughout the home, original paintings, authentic Persian rugs and elegant period furniture.

Today the home remains in the Henry family. It has been completely renovated to accommodate Inn guests and bring the rooms new life, using vibrant colors, murals, trompe l'oeil and stenciling.

The Heart & Hand Room Spacious and elegant, with its king size bed, private bath and view of the surrounding forests and lawns. $130
The Crystal Room Delicately furnished with twin beds, crystal chandelier and table lamps. $100
The Aviary Designed around an antique, hand-painted silk screen, the Aviary has twin beds and a private bath. It also offers direct access through French Doors onto the parking area. $115
The Garden Room This secluded room is ideal for a romantic get-a-way. It offers a King size bed and a private bath. The bath features a whirlpool tub and a jet shower. $135
The Ivy Suite Includes the Dormer Room, the Terrace Room and a shared bath. Rented together or separately, the third floor rooms provide a cozy atmosphere. $125 for 2 people

  • Prices are subject to change
  • All prices are on a per night basis
  • We reserve the right to limit number of people to a room
  • Two night minimum stay on high season weekends
  • A deposit in the amount of the last night's stay is due upon reservation confirmation
  • Balance is due upon arrival
  • Refund Policy for Cancellations: Deposit less $20 will be refunded for cancellations received at least two weeks prior to arrival.
  • Children under the age of 10 are not encouraged because the furnishings in the Inn are not child safe.
  • If pets are accompanying the family, we have good friends who run a clean kennel two miles away.
  • Forms of payment accepted: Cash or Personal Check (US Bank), Traveler's checks, American Express, Visa or MasterCard.
