The Sign of the Rose Bed and Breakfast - Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania The Sign of the Rose Bed and Breakfast is a unique cottage-style home located in the heart of the city of Wilkes-Barre. We are within walking distance from center-city, Wilkes University, Kings College and only ten minutes from the Wachovia Arena and great shopping. We are also within easy driving distance of Scranton and Pocono Mountain attractions.

The Sign of the Rose Bed and Breakfast occupies one side of our double block home. Because of the design of our home, we are uniquely suited for family events. A private parlor and dining room allows parents visiting students, wedding guests, those attending religious events, reunions or other events, to have a comfortable and private place to visit in a home-like atmosphere. Special rates are available for families who book the whole house.

Full gourmet breakfasts are served in our beautiful dining room. Sample our Bed of Roses Eggs, Baked Blueberry French Toast, Rosey Granola Parfaits, or Luscious Cinnamon Rolls.

Relax, read, or watch TV in our cozy parlor. We have a library of books, VCRs and DVDs for your pleasure. Access to the refrigerator and microwave make it possible for you to have a light meal or snack during your stay.

Room Rates and Policies
  • $50 to $100 per night plus tax.
  • Rates may vary with season, type of accommodation, day of the week or choice of a gourmet breakfast or continental breakfast.
  • Minimum and maximum stay requirements vary.
  • A deposit of one night rate or 50%, whichever is greater, confirms your reservation.
  • Balance is due upon arrival.
  • Full refund less $25 service charge, provided accommodation is re-rented.
