Hanover, Pennsylvania (PA) Bed & Breakfast: Surrounded by pastoral Amish farms and charming scenery, Hanover is convenient to the Washington DC beltway (1 1/2 hours) and the Baltimore beltway (1 hour), making our facility ideal for a weekend retreat from big-city living. In addition to welcoming individual guests, we are well suited to provide accommodations for small corporate and group retreats. We offer five guest suites, each with a private bath.

Guest Rooms/Rates

Shining Dawn Bed and Breakfast Retreat Center offers six comfortable guest rooms, providing quiet respite from the busy world. Several of our guest rooms can be configured into two- or three-room suites ideal for families or small groups. Please call us for details. Each suite is tastefully decorated and adjoins a private bathroom. Elegant, unique ceiling light fixtures transform the night into a warm welcoming atmosphere with accents of stained glass, crystal, and ornate metal. When the lights are out, our new Sealy Posturepedic Plush mattresses will help our guests to sleep well, and awaken refreshed.

All Guest Rooms are individually air conditioned and have internet connectivity through our wireless network. Rates are double occupancy and include a full breakfast. Many of the rooms have additional sleeping capacity at the rate of $25 per each additional guest per night. Although our first floor meeting areas have wheelchair accessibility, all guest rooms are located on the second floor and require the use of stairs. Rates do not include tax.

Our Policies
  • A 50% deposit is required to reserve a room.
  • Reservations cancelled less than 14 days prior to check-in may forfeit the deposit. Please see our website for complete details.
  • Check-in is between 3 pm and 9 pm. Check-out time is by 11 am. Late arrivals may be arranged in advance.
  • A two-night minimum stay is required for weekends from April through October, and on some special event weekends from November through March.
  • We are a non-smoking Inn. Smoking is allowed on the front porch or in the back yard.
  • We welcome respectful, polite, and courteous children ages 8 and older.
  • We can not accommodate pets.
  • All rates quoted are for double occupancy. Many of the rooms have additional sleeping capacity at the rate of $25 per each additional guest per night. In addition, several of our guest rooms can be configured into two, or three room suites. Please contact us for details.
  • Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 8:30 am daily or by special arrangement. When making your reservation, please let us know if you have special dietary requirements which you would like us to take into consideration.
