A glance, a for sale sign, it was love at first sight! That is how I would describe the day we first saw the big brick house on the square in Mount Joy. Of course we bought it, then we thought, what are we going to do with it? So we went to work restoring the property and opened The Olde Square Inn, a bed and breakfast in 1991. We have learned to truly love being innkeepers, even though we didn't have a clue about what we were doing at the beginning! When innkeeping gets into your blood, you can't possibly imagine doing anything else. We are now celebrating 13 years of inn keeping in Mount Joy! We've accomplished a great deal since we started. We have added several baths, so each room has it's own. It's been a lot of fun decorating the rooms, and working on the gardens. The new addition of our in-ground swimming pool is delighting all the guests. The inn has recently become a pet friendly. Higgins our loveable dog enjoys playing with his new friends, and he thinks he now has his own "guests" at the B&B.
