Introduction

The Lexington House is a superior Bed & Breakfast located in the wonderful town of New Hope in historic Bucks County. The Inn has designed its entire guest experience around the two main themes of elegance and luxury. The Lexington House sits on four beautifully landscaped acres just five minutes from the center of New Hope and boasts the 1749 main house, a carriage house from the same period, and a pool area built amongst the ruins of an old stone barn. In addition, there are several interesting outbuildings including a stone springhouse, a stone smokehouse, a small red barn with loft, and a large white dairy barn.

Peace and quiet close to town!

The Lexington House offers six guest rooms in our circa 1749 main house, each with private bath and air conditioning. Although elegantly decorated and filled with antiques, we are casual and relaxed. We want you to feel as if you are visiting an old friend at their luxurious country estate.

swimming pools A fabulous pool area enclosed by jagged stone walls awaits your enjoyment during the warmer months. A two-level pool, complete with waterfall, has been built amid the ruins of an old stone barn. The upper pool is designed for sitting and wading, and it splashes in a waterfall into the large main pool below.

Breakfast at The Lexington House is a special affair. We offer a combination hot and cold buffet breakfast, including home-baked breads and muffins, bagels, fresh fruit, juices, cereals, yogurt and one hot entree.

Downtown New Hope lies directly on the Delaware River and offers a wealth of shopping, antiquing, dining, browsing, and sports activities. New Hope and Lambertville, NJ, its sister city across the Delaware, are "river towns" dating from the 1800's and are filled with charming stone buildings. You can walk right across the Delaware to Lambertville, where you will find more shopping opportunities, restaurants, and antique stores.

All of Bucks County is an historic area. A 10-minute drive down-river will bring you to where George Washington crossed the Delaware that fateful night. You can tour the Mercer Museum in Doylestown, take a tubing ride down the Delaware, or take a mule barge ride along the canals.
