| High atop exclusive Packer Hill in the historic district of Jim Thorpe, stands an impressive edifice whose imposing facade could have been taken from a gothic novel. The Harry Packer Mansion was constructed in 1874 of local brick and stone and New England sandstone with cast iron trim. The many surfaces and lofty proportions of the mansion evoke a high Victorian grandeur. |

The Victorian village of Jim Thorpe in Northeastern Pennsylvania (two hours north of Philadelphia) is a scenic paradise nestled between three breathtaking mountains with the tumultuous Lehigh River running right through the center of town.
