Introduction

Welcome to the Harvest Moon Bed and Breakfast. A turn of the century guesthouse, nestled in a timeless part of the world where values and a sense of culture run deep. A place where horse and buggies still roam the streets, a place where church bells are still being tolled, a place where home baked food is so ever prevalent in our area restaurants.

While here "Get Lost" in Lancaster's back roads. Discover a sense of history in the area's architecture, spot one room school houses in just about any small town and of course uncover the many forgotten covered bridges of Lancaster County.

New Holland in Lancaster County is just this place. New Holland is in the northeast part of Lancaster County in Pennsylvania, a place rich with Amish and Mennonite values. Furniture makers, quilt crafters of all styles and of course the famed New Holland Horse Stables are yours to discover while enjoying your sojourn, whether for pleasure or business. We are approximately ten minutes away from the village of Intercourse and Ephrata. Two towns filled with history, unique shopping, antiques, and several fine restaurants.

Relax on the Porch

Harvest Moon consists of four guest rooms all tastefully appointed with antiques or antique reproductions. Beds in winter are outfitted with cozy down comforters and plush pillows. Each room has its own cable television and comes with a full breakfast buffet and afternoon tea. All season fireplaces are now in some of the rooms. Our list of amenities continues to grow - we have started doing wedding and business events. We also now have available to us a Message Therapist which whom an appointment can be made.

Special Packages

A Beer and Pretzel Tour of Lancaster County
Did you know that Lancaster was once known as the Little Munich of America? Or that 75% of America?s pretzels are made within 100 miles of Lancaster County? Learn more on an adventure through Lancaster County?s back roads as we explore two local pretzel factories and two micro-breweries. Hear Jack Loos of the Lancaster Historical Society discuss the early days of brewing with true tales of gangsters, bootlegging and how the locals successfully defied Prohibition. Three inns, Sheep Hill Bed and Breakfast, Artist Inn, and Harvest Moon Bed and Breakfast, have orchestrated an entertaining day. Jack Loos will set the mood with colorful reminiscences, and then we?re off to sample some of Lancaster?s famous soft pretzels with a local pretzel maker. Our journey takes us to the Lancaster Malt Brewing Company to tour their facility and experience their award-winning beer. We next travel to Intercourse where you will tour a hard pretzel factory, and stroll the quaint shops in the village. Stoudt?s Brewery in Adamstown is our final stop, and host Ed Stoudt will acquaint us with his award-winning brews and provide a tour of his brewery. At Stoudt?s we will finish the day with an outstanding dinner at his Black Angus restaurant, complete with, you guessed it, beer (or wine). There?s no need for a designated driver because we will be transported by a professional service. A second event will take place on July 14 with the same itinerary except for the final stop. Instead of concluding the day at Stoudt?s, we will end at Bube?s Brewery in Mount Joy. After a personal tour of the facility and the catacombs, a complete dinner will follow with a choice of Bube?s brews (or wine). $250 per couple covers the cost of all tours, lectures, tastings, a light lunch, dinner, and transportation. Lodging is extra, but if you stay at any of the inns you will receive a special gift. This event is open to anyone over age 21.
