Introduction
The Harlan Log House is an 18th Century Quaker homestead in the Brandywine Valley of Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Nestled on five serene acres, The Harlan Log House features canopy beds, woodburning fireplaces, a water garden, and a sitting porch with rustic rockers. The porch overlooks the 1814 stone springhouse and the water garden's fountain.

                                            


The Harlan Log House is located three miles from Longwood Gardens, Winterthur Museum, the Brandywine River Museum and the Chadds Ford Winery.

The Harlan Log House - Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania The Harlan Log House has been standing on its Chester County, Pennsylvania for over 250 years. The original acreage was purchased by Quaker George Harlan in 1710 and deeded to his son Joshua "in consideration of Fatherly love and affection."

Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the tranquil five acre setting on a quiet road welcomes travelers. There are two suites on separate floors each featuring a bedroom with woodburning fireplace, private bath with tub and tile shower, and a sitting room.

Reenactors

Rates range from $125-$185 per evening (a premium is added for Saturday night stay only). Full breakfast is served according to the ingredients on hand and your wishes. Cancellations are handled on an individual and mutually agreeable basis. Sitting Room

Find Us
The Log House is located 9 miles north of Wilmington, Delaware in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Take Route 52 North from I-95 past Greenville, Winterthur Museum, and Centreville. 1 1/2 miles north of Centreville is Fairville Road. Go left, and the Log House is 1/2 mile on the left.

If you approach via Route 1, take 52 South about a mile north of Longwood Gardens. Proceed 2 miles and turn right on Fairville Road. The Log House is 1/2 mile on the left.
