 North East, Pennsylvania Bed & Breakfast: The Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast consists of two side by side mansions: the Bester Town Home (circa 1832) and the Hampson Home (circa 1835). They are located at 51 and 55 East Main Street in North East, PA - just fifteen minutes east of Erie. All accommodations include full four-course breakfast, local phone service, complementary beverages, evening hors d'oeuvres, and homemade cookies/desserts.

Guest Rooms/Rates

All guest rooms have private baths, telephones with data ports, color television and VHS players, and are appointed with comforters, antique/reproduction furnishings and fine toiletries.

All suites in this building are equipped with individual refrigerators stocked with bottled water, fruit juice and sodas and coffee/tea setups.

Guestrooms Sunday - Thursday Weekends/Holidays
The Chancellor Suite, located on the first floor, is appointed with a queen-size oak bed, marble fireplace and oversized bathroom. The separate spacious parlor provides plenty of comfortable seating, a second fireplace and a convenient writing desk. $115 $130
The Riesling Suite, located on the second floor, offers a king-size brass bed and antique hand painted French bureau. The separate parlor provides plenty of seating and a small rolltop desk. The spacious bathroom houses a Jacuzzi tub and shower. $115 $130
The Merlot Suite features a private entrance to a winding staircase to the second floor where the bedroom with king-size brass bed, full-sized kitchen and roomy rich marble tiled bath with tub and shower await you. The Merlot Suite has a connecting door with the Riesling so that the entire upstairs could accommodate two families or groups traveling together, or locked for privacy. $115 $130

Bester Town Home (circa 1832)

There is a guest refrigerator on the first floor stocked with complementary beverages alongside a cookie jar filled with home baked treats.

Guestrooms Sunday - Thursday Weekends/Holidays
The Isabella Room features a king-size brass bed, private bath and fireplace. It has an additional exterior entrance and patio area. $95 $110
The Niagara Room features a queen-size four poster bed and accompanying antique furnishings. $80 $90
The Concord Room is the perfect choice for honeymoon and anniversaries. It features an elevated queen-size cherry four poster bed. $80 $90
The Steuben Suite is adorned with Eastlake furniture, circa 1870. This elegant bedroom has a double bed, a separate sitting room with a cherry daybed, and a full bath and a half. $90 $100

Policies:

  • All accommodations include full four-course breakfast, local phone service, complementary beverages, evening hors d'oeuvres, and homemade cookies/desserts.
  • All fares are subject to 6% Pennsylvania sales tax.
  • Additional guests in rooms $20/per night; advance notice required.
  • One night's deposit or ½ the cost of the stay, whichever is greater, is required at the time of making the reservation.
  • Deposit will be refunded minus a service charge of $20 if cancellation is received 7 days prior to arrival.
  • If it is necessary to cancel within the seven days, a service charge of $20 will be automatically applied to your account and your deposit will be applied to a future stay.
  • There are NO REFUNDS on special or holiday weekends unless we can re-book your room.
  • Confirmation of reservation will be by return mail.
  • Visa, MasterCard and Discover accepted.
  • Check-in: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Check out: 11 a.m.
  • No Smoking. Smoking is permitted outside the Bed & Breakfast only.
  • No pets. For those with allergies, please be advised that there are cats living at 51 East Main.
  • Accommodations are not designed for small children.
  • Gift certificates are available.
