Hosts Paul and Loretta Simmons will do everything possible to see that your stay is a pleasant memory. The Garden House Bed & Breakfast is decorated in a eclectic, fresh, country-garden style with period antiques. This romantic gem turns a whole new leaf on country with a casual-friendly atmosphere. The Garden House B & B is small, intimate and charming, offering the traveler the opportunity to be truly relaxed while providing privacy. The room rates are quite desirable and the delectable breakfast is served daily, at your choice of time, and included in your room rate. The sitting rooms and parlor, the wrap around front porch, and the garden are for our guests to enjoy. We provide breakfast for special dietary restrictions, allergies, etc. Please don't hesitate to request your preferences. |

| Special PackagesCooking Nights Book a room and bring your culinary art skills for an evening of either sharing your skills, or possibly learning some new ones. Book all three rooms and receive 10% discount on the room rate. Choose from a selection of menus and come ready to join in the cooking fun. This is a hands on cooking night, not just watching a demo. Prices range from $30.00 to $40.00/person, depending on the cost of the food choices. Invite a couple of your friends to join in. The best part is the feasting at the end of the session. Recipes for you to take home and add to your growing files. You might want to choose a particular culinary skill: breads; pastry; sauces; home made pasta;etc. We can also focus on a particular choice of Ethnic menu. Please don't expect a fancy kitchen, we have a very simple kitchen, you probably have a better equipped one, however, it sure is a fun night. Finding the right B & B, one that perfectly suits your taste, and with personality of place is one of the greatest thrills in travel. Try the Garden House B & B, centrally located between Amish country and historic Gettysburg. There are many attractions in the area to keep you interested and entertained. This is an Antique shoppers' heaven and farm and flea markets abound. The Garden House B & B is located five miles north of York, about an hours drive from Hershey Park, twenty minutes from Harrisburg, one hour from Baltimore, MD and forty-five minutes from Lancaster. The fun is in the journey when you choose to travel along the country roads and experience the ambiance of the lovely, historic towns along the way... but, if you are in a hurry, the highways are easily accessible. Please call the inn regarding our policy on children. We have three friendly kitties, not permitted into the guest rooms so we do not allow pets. We arrange for small, intimate weddings, parties and meetings. The Garden House B & B is a relaxing, fun, private place to stay- we look forward to meeting you.... |

Paul is from England, where he managed a popular English pub called The Black Horse. Loretta, originally from Italy, received her chef training by working in her family's fine restaurant, "Calise," on the beautiful island of Ischia in southern Italy. They previously ran Pals, a catering business in Columbia, Maryland and have been involved in the hospitality field for some time.
