The Emig Mansion

Located in the quaint village of Emigsville in South Central Pennsylvania, this skillfully restored 19th century mansion provides the perfect setting for gracious hospitality. The Emig Mansion is located just 5 miles from the heart of downtown York, approximately 6 miles from the fairgrounds, approx 25 miles to Gettysburg; 20 miles from Lancaster; 25 miles from Harrisburg. The home is resplendent with exquisite leaded and stained glass windows, intricate molding, original parquet floors and elegant marble and tile work. Built in 1810, The Emig Mansion is decorated with antiques and furnishings authentic to the period.

Visitors to the Emig Mansion will first come upon the wrap-around front porch, complete with vintage furniture from the famous Hahn House. The Victorian elegance of the porch overlooks a picturesque vintage pond and is accentuated by more than an acre of beautifully wooded grounds.

Wake each morning to a signature breakfast of fruit salad with fresh organic fruits and organic yogurt on top, with muffins or scones, and French toast made with organic eggs. It is filled with apple and walnuts and topped with real maple syrup and yogurt. It always comes with a side dish of meat such as bacon or sausage. Room rates include breakfast and are $125 per night and the large wicker suite is $150 per night.

On the inside, the Dining Room stretches the entire width of the house with a distinctive rounded glass window in the front and a stained glass masterpiece at the back. The entire room is surrounded by hand-carved Honduran mahogany. In between the two windows is an incredible table that seats twenty-five people comfortably. Located directly off the dining room is the elegant wood-paneled Library with its marble fireplace and original antique molding. The original pocket doors off the foyer reveal unique his and hers parlors reminiscent of yesteryear in their Victorian elegance and detail.
