Eagles Mere, elevation 2,100 feet, in the "Endless Mountains" of Northeastern Pennsylvania, was developed in the 1800's as a resort for wealthy Philadelphians. They came to the mountain for the cool clean air and crystal clear waters of the mile long lake. They built turn of the century Victorian "cottages". The cottagers loved the unspoiled beauty and serenity of this peaceful oasis so much that they placed much of the land into the protective stewardship of a Lake Association and Nature Conservancy. The town has a few old fashioned shops, and a number of antique shops are near by. Eagles Mere remains much the same as it did years ago when the pace of life was more peaceful and less stressful. At The Eagles Mere Inn we have two buildings. The Main Inn was built in 1887 and the Garden House about 1978, they are separated by our lawn and garden areas, by about thirty feet. All of our guest rooms are individually decorated with antiques and reproduction pieces, no two rooms are identical. All guest rooms have a private bath, some with tub and shower, some have shower only. There is telephone and television available for our guests use in the Main Inn. Guest rooms have individual heat control and summer air conditioning. In the Main Inn there are ten guest rooms and two suites, located on the second and third floors. In the Garden House there are six guest rooms and one suite. Guest rooms in the Garden House are located at ground level and the second floor. Our Common Rooms are in the Main Inn and include The Pub, The Dining Room, The Living Room, The Lobby and The Gift Shop.

As an overnight guest at Eagles Mere Inn your dinner & breakfast are included in your rate. Both meals are open to outside guests as well house guests, seating is by reservation only. We recommend that House guests make dinner reservations, prior to arrival, to check for available times. Our dinner menus are limited & change daily, we always offer seafood, meat & poultry entree selections.
