Welcome to the Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast, an elegant and cozy urban inn, and a lovely oasis for travelers. Located on a towering tree-lined street, in the University City District of Philadelphia, our meticulously restored 1865 Victorian, stone mansion is an architectural gem. The Cornerstone accommodates both business and leisure travelers alike. Relax and enjoy one of our six beautifully appointed rooms and suites all with private bathrooms. Situated in a prime location, Cornerstone offers a unique opportunity to enjoy Philadelphia within walking distance to restaurants, shops, historic sites, theaters, the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, museums, or your business destination. |

Built around 1870, this beautifully restored church-stone mansion features original red oak and black walnut floors, twelve-foot ceilings and a grand staircase made of Honduran Mahogany. At the Cornerstone, we are very fortunate to have seven exquisite stained glass windows from the turn of the century. Two of these magnificent windows are featured in the entrance/foyer. In the morning, guests enjoy breakfast at our large dining room table in front of the fireplace. Enjoy a conversation with other guests or read the newspaper. And, don't forget to look up at our magnificent reproduction Victorian ceiling. During the week, a continental breakfast is served from 7:15 AM to 8:30 AM. On weekends, a full breakfast is served from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. At check–in, you may request breakfast to go. |
