Our History
The home on the corner of 4th and Chestnut Streets was built in 1897 by Mr. and Mrs. Moore. Mrs. Anna Moore was the daughter of wealthy railroad tycoon Mr. Fendrich who had a mansion and property that streched half a city block including green houses and stable. A fire struck the mansion in 1888 and Mr. Fendrich died. Anna and her husband Mr. Moore bought the property from the estate sale and built a new home on part of the property and sold the rest of the property off. This property became the Columbian Bed and Breakfast in 1988.
