This 1897 Victorian Mansion is a splendid example of Colonial Revival architecture, complete with wraparound sun porches, an ornate stained-glass window, and magnificent tiered staircase. The Columbian Bed and Breakfast is located in the historic small town setting of Columbia along the Susquehanna River in Lancaster County. Columbia, a one time stop on the underground railroad and just two votes shy of becoming the Capitol of the United States of America, still boasts many antique shops, museums, and restaurants all within a short stroll of The Columbian Bed and Breakfast. Relax and unwind by the fireplace in our comfortable parlor or on the porches/patios overlooking our landscaped lawn and gardens. Each of our 5 antique-filled guestrooms, decorated in either Victorian or Country decor, offer a comfortable sitting area, queen/king beds, private baths, cable tv, and a/c. Some of our suites also offer microwaves/refrigerators, VCRs and gas fireplaces. The Fendrich Room is one of these spacious suites and also offers a clawfoot tub to relax in and a wonderful view of the historic homes of Chestnut Street from its unique fan shaped window. An exercise room is also available for guests' use. A full country breakfast of fruits, homemade granola and sweet breads, and a hot main dish tops off your stay at The Columbian Bed and Breakfast. Close to Hershey, Gettysburg, and Lancaster but away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, The Columbian Bed and Breakfast offers a wonderful respite while you enjoy the many attractions in this part of Pennsylvania.
