Introduction
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Churchtown Inn is a beautifully restored 18th century fieldstone mansion nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country. As you pass through the exquisite leaded glass entrance door you will be greeted with the warm hospitality of your innkeepers, Chris & Jim Farr.
Our innkeepers are always nearby--ready to share their knowledge of the "plain people" or help you plan your day or evening. Churchtown Inn is perfectly located just minutes from all attractions of Lancaster County, including antiques and craft markets, Amish Farms and manufacturer's outlets.
Lancaster County's Plain People are composed of three basic groups: Amish, Brethren, and Mennonite. They are non-resistant, intensely devout people who seek to preserve traditional family values and serve God as their forefathers did.
The sound of the Amish buggies clip-clopping outside accompanies you as you are escorted to your spacious and lovingly appointed guest room. Wonderful comfortable beds are dressed with billowy linens of fine cotton and lace and adorned with handmade quilts. Today's comfort marries yesterday's charm in all of our immaculately clean guest rooms and private baths. Our cozy elegance will soothe your weary body and soul.
Awaken to the delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Enjoy our renowned five course breakfast served on Royal Doulton china in the glass-enclosed garden room which overlooks the serene gardens and the rolling farmlands of our Amish neighbors. Savor every bite as you enjoy pleasant conversation with guests visiting from around the world. Amish/Mennonite dinners can be arranged.
