1804 Steckel House

The Steckel House is a modern day, beautifully restored Bed and Breakfast. Pamper yourself with a canopy bed, wood-burning fireplace, marble bath and antique furnishings. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places and was built in 1804 by Daniel Steckel. It is centrally located in eastern Pennsylvania in Bath's Historic District near many famous attractions. Located in the Lehigh Valley, the Steckel House is close to skiing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, antiquing and shopping as well as colleges, museums, covered bridges, theatres, festivals, wineries and great restaurants.

Rachel's Room includes a double antique canopy bed, a corner fireplace and a wing chair for settling in with a good book. The early 1800 dresser has a bow front and the Pennsylvania blanket chest at the foot of the bed has original dark blue milk paint. The separate private bath has a black and white marble floor with a large clawfoot tub, an oak sideboard sink and tumbled marble shower. Matthew's Suite consists of two rooms and private bath. Enjoy a queen size bed, wood-burning fireplace, a desk for writing and a sofa for enjoying the firelight. A matching oak dresser, a walnut hat rack, a wicker calling card stand and mahogany sofa add to the ambiance of the bedroom. The private bathroom includes a shower and antique accents. Nightly Rate: $149 (double occupancy); Fridays, Saturdays, Holidays, Festivals & Special Events: $159; Extra persons: $20 each
