Introduction
Echos of the past blend seamlessly with the sparkle of the new at the R. R. Thompson House Bed & Breakfast in the town of Carlton, the heart of the Oregon's picturesque wine country. Built in 1936 and nestled in the northern Willamette Valley, the home features two luxury suites and three beautifully appointed rooms. Enjoy the historic charm and elegance of this completely refurbished house as you explore the best vineyards and wineries Oregon has to offer.
Mike and Roselyn opened the R. R. Thompson House Bed & Breakfast in 2007 after refurbishing the historic federal style home. They had wished to become innkeepers for several years, and in the Thompson House found a property they were confident could become a beautiful and warm inn for guests to enjoy.
Meet The Innkeepers
Before his venture as an innkeeper, Mike spent many years as a research scientist for European-based companies (England, The Netherlands and Sweden). Roselyn worked as a writer and copy editor for daily newspapers in Pennsylvania. She wrote local news and feature stories on a range of topics. Mike and Roselyn have a son, Corey, who graduated in 2007 from UCLA School of Law. Mike and Roselyn thoroughly enjoy their new calling as innkeepers, and welcome you to join them at the R. R. Thompson House in Carlton, in the beautiful Yamhill Valley.
