Introduction

This Olde House - Coos Bay, Oregon This Olde House is an architectural delight and elegant home with beautiful inlaid hardwood floors, crystal chandeliers and authentic antique furniture. The house was built in 1893 by Joseph Bennett (b. 1855), who emigrated from Ireland with his father, George Bennett. The elder Bennett founded the nearby town of Bandon and authored the book, A History of Bandon, Ireland. Joseph lived in the home until his death in 1916.

Sally White, owner of This Olde House since 1995, invites you to come and experience her warm hospitality. She has served guests from around the world and looks forward to serving you.

Our convenient location allows you to view the ships and tug boats working in the bay, or stroll the boardwalk along the waterfront. We are close to galleries, cultural centers, The Mill Casino, antique shops and fine dining. A short drive will take you to scenic Sunset Beach and Shore Acres Botanical Gardens.

Rooms and Rates

This Olde House has five beautifully furnished rooms with amenities including king or queen beds,
TV's and private baths, bath robes provided. Each comes with complimentary wine.

Redwood Room Known as the Honeymoon Suite, The Redwood Room has a view of the bay and town. King-size bed, plus twin bed, fireplace and private sitting area, In-suite bath with tub and shower. $185 per night
Magnolia Room View of the port, King-size bed, plus twin bed, In-suite bath with tub and shower. $145 per night
Mahogany Room Very quiet location, King-size bed, In-suite bath with shower. $125 per night
Cypress Room City view, King-size bed, In-suite bath with shower. $125 per night
Maple Room View of the port, Queen-size bed, Full private bath across the hall with large tub and shower. $105 per night

Reservation Information
  • All rates are plus tax, and include a full American breakfast and adult evening beverages.
  • Advance reservations are required. We are not able to accommodate drop-in travelers.
  • To make a firm reservation by e-mail, please send the following information to: thisoldehouse@harborside.com
    • Your name as it appears on your credit card.
    • Your credit card number. Please do not send the expiration date at this time. You may send the expiration date in a later e-mail.
    • Your address and telephone number(s).
    • Your reservation dates and estimated time of arrival.
  • When we have all the information, we will send you an e-mail confirmation.
  • Credit cards accepted: American Express, Visa and MasterCard.
  • If cancellation is made three (3) weeks prior to the arrival date, there will be a $40 transaction fee.
  • If cancellation is made LESS than three (3) weeks prior to arrival date, the charge will be one-half of the reservation charge. If the room is re-rented, all money will be refunded less the transaction fee of $40.
