Introduction
The spectacular view from the mountain road, gradually climbing toward Mt. Ashland's summit, is the first clue that the Mt. Ashland Inn is no ordinary Bed and Breakfast. Just 3 miles from the 7500-foot summit sits the Mt. Ashland Inn at 5500 feet elevation. The lodge is handcrafted of incense cedars carefully cut from the property and sits on 40 private acres of large trees and mountain wilderness.
THE INNKEEPERS... Chuck and Laurel Biegert acquired the Inn in 1995. During the years since, they have added an outdoor spa and sauna cabin with spectacular views, and have created 5 large suites each with large spa tub and gas fireplace.
Golden retriever puppy Powder (as in snow!) is exuberantly waiting to greet you!
The guest living room with inviting rock fireplace beckons the weary traveler to relax and enjoy a good book while the five guest suites evoke a feeling of relaxing mountain coziness sure to melt away the stress.
Mt. Ashland Inn is surrounded by Northwest wilderness and is right on the Pacific Crest Trail - the only lodging on this famous hiking trail from Canada to Mexico. Just 3 miles up the road you'll find a great downhill ski area, Ski Ashland, as well as cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
In summer, the hiking is beautiful and wildflowers and bird watching are abundant! There are great places to sit outdoors including the deck and stone hot tub patio to absorb gorgeous views and soak up the sunshine.
