Introduction
The Jacksonville Inn is a historic Bed and Breakfast Inn, restaurant, and wine shop located in the heart of the National Historic Landmark town of Jacksonville, Oregon.
The Jacksonville Inn has received the Wine Spectator's "Best Award of Excellence," one of 500 awarded in the world!
Presidential Cottage
Built in 1861,
the Inn has been meticulously renovated and offers eight elegantly decorated hotel rooms, each modernized for comfort and opulence and complimented with early western antiques. In addition, The Inn offers four luxurious honeymoon cottages, located just a block away, that cater to the romance and privacy of special occasions. U. S. President George W. and Laura Bush stayed in the Presidential Suite on a recent visit to Southern Oregon.
The Inn also extends to its visitors the epicurean experience associated with superb dining. The Jacksonville Inn Dinner House is a nationally acclaimed restaurant, frequently featured on CNN and the Learning Channel's "Great Country Inns." As one of Oregon's most award-winning restaurants, The Inn has been honored for its comprehensive and
unique wine list, which includes over 2000 wines. A full breakfast is
included with every lodging reservation. Dinner guests may choose to enjoy a
five-course Table d'Hote or the lighter Bistro fare served in
the lounge and patio areas.
Jacksonville, the first town in America to be named a
National Historic Landmark, has preserved its 19th Century charm. Visitors
will enjoy browsing the historical museum, art galleries, and antique shops.
The summer Peter Britt Music Festival, featuring
world-class performers in classical, jazz, folk/country, musical theater and
dance, is within a short three-block walk from The Inn. White-water rafting
and jet boat excursions on the Rogue River, golfing on seven
local courses, downhill and cross country skiing and snowboarding on
Mt. Ashland, seeing a play at the famous Oregon
Shakespearean Theatre, or visiting Crater Lake National
Park are all possibilities while enjoying the friendly ambience at
the Jacksonville Inn. It is the perfect location for corporate "get aways"
that want to combine business with pleasure and relaxation.
