Located downstairs next to the foyer, the cozy parlor offers guests a quiet place to read, write or visit. Comfortable antique wing back chairs, a love seat and great views outside allow guests to relax and unwind. Enjoy a glass of wine, the daily newspaper or take advantage of our "book exchange" upstairs - but make yourselves at home!
The bright and cozy kitchen and dining area is centrally located upstairs. The charming French country decor, conversation-friendly floor plan and smell of fresh brewed "Peet's" coffee is the perfect way to start your day! Our Continental Breakfast is served every morning from 7:30 - 10:00. There is additional seating on the adjoining veranda, or take your breakfast and coffee back to your room. This room is also ideal for card and board games, birthday celebrations and late night munchies. A selection of popcorn's, fresh apples and snacks are always on hand. Kitchen amenities - microwave, refrigerator, dishes, wine glasses, ice buckets, room trays, etc. are all for your convenience.
The grand porch off the second floor extends the width of the house. Just off the upstairs kitchen, it's the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and paper. There is plenty of table space to map out your plans for the day. Take in the views of the lush green lawns, beautiful gardens, yard decor and our cherished old Magnolia tree. Comfortable furniture, pretty outdoor fabrics, accessories and ceiling fans gives this veranda the look and feel of a southern plantation. The porch encourages "Sitting for a spell", it's a favorite gathering place for guests at the end of the day to enjoy a glass of wine, hot cider, good company and the sunset.
