On the Property:
  • 130 acres of birding, hiking, catch and release flatwater fishing, stargazing, canoeing, photography, and of course - pure relaxation.
  • We have nearly 5 miles of trails on the property which allow you to explore our mixed forest, meadows, and seasonal wetlands.
  • We also have two ponds, stocked with trout for casting practice, which double as favorite swimming holes for your 4-legged friends.
  • We are immediately adjacent to the Upper Klamath National Wildlife Refuge to the east and the Fremont Winema National Forests to the west, which feature excellent hunting and fishing, boating, canoeing, birding, horseback riding and hiking opportunities.

  • Birding: Klamath Basin Birding Trail, Oregon Cascades Birding Trail
  • Trophy Trout Fishing: Wood River, Crystal Creek, Upper Klamath Lake, Agency Lake
  • Dog Sled Rides: Briar Patch Sled Dog Rides
  • Golfing: Running Y Resort
  • Mountain Biking: Volcanic Scenic Byway, Fremont Winema National Forests
  • Horseback Riding: Sky Lakes Wilderness for trail riding your own horses, also Happy Trails Cowboy Campground and Willow Prairie Campground
  • Sightseeing: Volcanic Scenic Byway (which Crystalwood Lodge is on), Crater Lake National Park
  • Restaurants: Rocky Point (seasonal), Lake of the Woods (seasonal), Running Y Ranch House, Melita's
  • Museums: Baldwin Museum, Collier State Park and Logging Museum, Klamath County Museum, Ft. Klamath Museum, Favell Museum of Western Art and Indian Artifacts
  • Railroading: Train Mountain, Over the Hill Live Steamers
  • Boating: Crystal Springs, Malone Springs, Rocky Point, Lake of the Woods
  • Hiking: Sky Lakes Wilderness Area, Fremont Winema National Forests, Mountain Lakes Wilderness Area. We have a trailhead about every mile along our section of Westside Road, all leading into the Sky Lakes Wilderness, so named for the dozens of pristine alpine lakes amongst the trails, spurs and loops. All trails in the Wilderness area are non-motorized, multi-use, and open to all user groups.
  • X-C skiing: Fremont Winema National Forests, Crater Lake National Park
  • Snowmobiling: Annie Creek Snopark, Lake of the Woods Snopark, Klamath Basin Snowdrifters Snowmobile Club
  • Local Attractions: Mare's Egg Spring, State Fish Hatchery, Kimball State Park, Annie Creek Falls, Cutting Horse and Roping Competitions and the Wood River Day Use Area.

  • Hiking: OC&E Woods Line State Trail, Pacific Crest Trail

  • Lake Cruise: Klamath Belle Paddlewheel

  • Downhill Skiing: Mt. Ashland, Mt. Bailey
