Though only 18 miles inland from the coast, the half-hour drive to The Chetco River Inn Lavender Farm transports you to another world, a place where the lulling sound of river rushing over stone calms the soul. For kicking back and relaxing, you can't imagine a more appropriate spot. To those seeking outdoor activity, the Inn's forty acres offer bird watching, fishing, swimming, and hiking. This is an ideal place to enjoy the wilderness & forest. Finished in 1987, this backcountry, environmentally-sensitive lodge coexists peacefully with its beautiful natural surroundings. Modern amenities are provided using alternative energy sources: solar, wind generator, batteries, and propane.

It is somewhat startling to arrive at what appears to be a cedar-log, fishing lodge and enter to find a marble-floored living room full of antiques and fine furniture. A beautiful combination of bright oriental carpets, leather-upholstered furniture, vaulted cedar ceilings, and a fireplace fashioned from local rock, complete the picture of elegance in this spacious room.
Fishing season begins in fall with the Chinook Salmon run, and continues through winter with Steelhead.
Accommodations at the The Chetco River Inn Lavender Farm exude a delightful combination of "old world" hospitality and "new world" comfort. Your room features down covered, dual king or twin-size beds, a private bath, and various views of mountains, river, and gardens. Rooms are $125-$145 per night for two people, including a full country breakfast, with all the coffee, tea, and cookies you can eat. The five rooms plus cottage can easily accommodate up to 14 people in separate beds, or six couples. Children are welcome, we suggest the cottage for their comfort. Smokers welcome, smoking limited to outdoors only. No pets, please.
| A complete "country-style" home-cooked breakfast, served family style, gets your day off to a good start. Upon request, we can also offer dinners and picnic lunches. Throughout your visit, you are welcome to enjoy coffee, tea, and fruit to your heart's content. While no alcohol is sold at the Inn, you are welcome to bring your own favorite beverages. |
