The National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother is a peaceful garden featuring a replica of Michaelangelo's Pieta. While visiting gardens you won't want to miss Portland's Japanese Gardens. For those who love the indoors there are several museums and homes to visit. The Pittock Mansion and Shelton-McMurphey-Johnson House are a beautifully furnished turn-of-the-century home in Portland. For yet another kind of museum the Oregon Air and Space museum is always a great stop with an interesting collection of experimental aircraft.
