Introduction
The Village Bed & Breakfast is in the heart of Mennonite country in the charming village of St. Jacobs. This cozy home, full of original art, is on a quiet street - minutes from many artisan, antique, craft, quilt, and other unique shops.
The Inn is close to the famous St. Jacobs Farmer's Market, Stratford, Elmira, Elora, and Ontario's oldest covered bridge. Kitchener and Waterloo are nearby as are The University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University.
We have been hosting guests since 1987 and look forward to welcoming you.
Guests can enjoy the St. Jacobs Schoolhouse theatre or the Drayton Festival Theatre (ask your hosts to purchase tickets on your behalf), Stratford's Shakespeare Festival, the Elora Gorge, Elmira's Maple Syrup Festival, the Wellesley Apple Butter Festival, and Kitchener Waterloo's Oktoberfest.
Opportunities abound for bicycling, golfing, hiking, sight-seeing and enjoying home-style German and Mennonite cooking in local restaurants. Great shopping is just a block away or you could sit on our porch and watch the horse and buggies pass by. Ask about sharing supper in a Mennonite home by special arrangement.
In the cooler months, guests are welcome to join us in enjoying a warm, glowing fire in our living room.
