Introduction
Enjoy this farmhouse in the country, all to yourself, for a weekend or a week. Located on a large working farm in Southwest Ohio, these two old (but beautifully refurbished) cottages will take you back to those thrilling days of yesteryear, when time ran at the speed of horses, not internets. The Sugar Camp name refers to the maple tree forest and the syrup making that used to take place there.
What do people do for fun is a place like this? Well, you're on vacation, so the idea is: relax, take it easy, be happy, don't worry. Maybe you feel like taking a walk in the woods with a little book on wild flowers, or birds. Maybe you can catch a few butterflies and read up on those miraculous creatures.
On the farm there are miles of walking trails, fields of birds & flowers, and a lake with swimming dock and paddleboat. Guided tours can be arranged with the proprietor.
Off the farm, but nearby (with equipment rentals), you can canoe down the river, ride 17 miles of paved bike trails, Jet-Ski on Caesars Creek Lake, pontoon boat on Lake Cowan, and tour the many antique shops in Waynesville and Lebanon.
The Inn is easily accessible to Kings Island Theme Park, Wilmington College, Renaissance Festival (September), Caesar's Creek State Park, 2 Huge Flea Markets, Fort Ancient Indian Mounds, and many other attractions.
4 bedrooms (5 total beds) and 2 baths make this an ideal retreat for groups up to 11. Gas heat plus fireplace keeps you cozy.
Spacious couches and upholstered chairs make family style meetings a pleasure for 9 to 16 people.
