Introduction
This authentic 1820's Wayne County log house was dismantled, moved several miles, then meticulously reconstructed within nine acres of old growth forest. East of Wooster, it is located near the nation's largest Amish settlement (Holmes County) and a variety of shopping, dining, historical and cultural destinations.
Not only a bed and breakfast -- but also a museum quality restoration of an early German-style log structure.
If you're looking for a unique and secluded country getaway located in the earliest building that offers accommodations in the Wayne-Holmes County area, come to The Cabin at Sassafras Knoll.
Area attractions include The College of Wooster, home of the Ohio Light Opera; Wayne County Historical Society; factory outlets; the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center with its nationally noted Secrest Arboretum, and so much more.
