The Innkeeper

Dorene Henschen, owner of Heartland Country Resort, loves the country and values her childhood on the family farm, where she gained a great appreciation for animals and the land. She enjoys sharing the country with other people and hopes Heartland brings to each guest, some peace and joy. She is also a fourth grade teacher in Upper Arlington, a suburb of Columbus. She enjoys teaching and working with young people along with many subjects including problem solving, geology, and prehistoric life. Her hobbies and interests vary from landscaping, designing, decorating, and reading, to traveling, skiing, hiking, horseback riding, films, food, and socializing. She looks forward to your visit!
