Grand Rapids is a village in Wood County, and is home to many surprisingly delightful B&B establishments. The town is located very close to the Maumee River. On the second Sunday of October each year, the town hosts the Apple Butter Festival which has attracted more than 70,000 visitors for its food, activities and music. The Strawberry Festival is held near the town with a focus on strawberries and local entertainment.
