We welcome both business and leisure travelers. Burton is a great getaway destination, or a good stopping point between the central U.S. and the East Coast. As a business destination, Goodwin House is one of only a few choices close to the industry in Middlefield, Parkman, and Newbury.

The local and regional area offers much for families, couples, and individuals to do. Burton Village is an antique-shopper's destination, with many more antique shops within 15 miles in any direction. Festivals and fairs include the Apple Butter Festival, Maple Syrup Festival, Great Geauga County Fair, Pancake Breakfasts every Sunday in March, Burton's Antique and Classic Car Shows, and Christmas and other Holiday events. The Burton area is part of the 4th largest Amish settlement in the world.

The Maple Room offers two full size beds with matching maple dressers, and features a four season fireplace and en-suite bathroom with extra-large Jacuzzi airtub and separate tiled shower. This room has the subdued natural lighting of a Northern exposure, and is very quiet.

The Cherry Room provides a Queen size bed and antique wardrobe, as well as other furniture in a mix of dark woods and a four-season fireplace. An en-suite bathroom adjoins this room with a two-person Jacuzzi airtub and separate tiled shower. This light and bright room has 4 windows, and features exceptional original woodwork.

• Room Rates: $150 on Friday or Saturday for single or double occupancy.
• The rate for the eve of most Holidays is also $150 per night. (For example the night before Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.)
• During the week, Sunday through Thursday nights, the rate is $110 per night for single or double occupancy.
• We do not require a minimum stay.
• Please contact us for special pricing for extended stays.
• We offer a corporate rate for weekday travelers staying at least three nights.
• Rates are based on single or double occupancy, and include breakfast.
• Additional guests may be accommodated at an additional charge of $20 per night. We can set up an additional twin bed in either room. (Families traveling with children may contact us for a reduced "additional guest" rate.)
• No sales tax, bed tax, or gratuity is charged on the lodging. (Subject to change if the village institutes a bed tax.)
• Sales tax is charged on the breakfast, only.
• To confirm a reservation, a credit card number or advance deposit of one night's stay is required.
• Guests who arrive after their confirmed arrival date or depart before the final day of their reservation will forfeit their deposit.
• Guests who do not honor their confirmed reservation will be charged 100% of the room charge for the entire period reserved.
• A last minute cancellation (less than 48 hours before date of arrival) or no-show will forfeit the deposit amount or have one night charged to the credit card on file.
• Check-in is between 4 and 8 p.m. on the day of arrival or by arrangement. Please let us know your expected arrival time.
• Check-out is no later than 11 a.m. on the day of departure.
• Children are nearly always welcome, with the prior agreement of the Innkeepers.
• Contained pets may be accommodated, by prior arrangement with the Innkeepers, with a security deposit.
• Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house. If you must smoke outside, please place your cigarette waste in your vehicle.
• You may bring your own alcoholic beverages.
