This is a wine lovers weekend! Check-in on Friday and unwind at our evening campfire. On Saturday you are free during the day to explore Amish Country. Late afternoon our chauffeur will pick you up at the B&B to start your wine tasting tour. First stop: Heini's Gourmet Market in Sugarcreek where you can do some wine & cheese tasting or just shop their many food items that are made in Ohio! Second stop: Pearl Valley Cheese Factory is a great place to taste and purchase some cheese to go with your wine. Next stop: Our ultimate destination is Raven's Glenn Winery. Our B&B guests will be treated to a winery tour, a wine tasting with a souvenir wine glass, and a 5 course dinner with a glass of wine to compliment each course.
CHOICE #1: Bruschetta Casalinga-Proschiutto Appetizer, Italian Wedding Soup, Antipasti Salad, Chicken Marsala and Dessert. CHOICE #2: Bacon Wrapped Scallops Appetizer, Minestrone Soup, Ravens Glenn House Salad, Sirloin Steak Pizziola, and Chocolate Mousse.

Amish Christmas Traditions Weekend (11/20/2009 thru 11/22/2009)
Did you ever wonder how the Amish celebrate Christmas? What kinds of foods they eat at the holidays? What kind of gifts they exchange? Come stay this weekend and you will learn all about Amish Christmas Traditions! Check-in Friday and unwind. Saturday morning is free to explore Amish Country and in the afternoon your adventure begins! You will visit an Amish woman who makes and sells hand-dipped candles. Each guest will receive a candle to take home! You'll also visit a general store where many of the Amish doe their Christmas shopping. At supper time you will indulge in a holiday feast that consists of 7-Layer Salad, Homemade Bread, Turkey Ham, Sweet Potato Casserole, Noodles & Dressing. For dessert you will enjoy a fruit cobbler and cherry cheese cake along with holiday punch and coffee. This murder mystery is played in several rounds where you will enjoy appetizers, snacks and beverages throughout the evening.

The Scene: The Hawaiin Islands
We're taking you to the island of Maui to a luau party. This is a fun tropical party with good food and interesting characters. Our characters will include Holly Day, a vacationing wife of a billionaire, scuba diving instructor Rip Tide and New York fashion model Nadia Seymour, among others. Someone has poisoned a private detective, and there is no shortage of suspects! This mystery is played in 3 rounds that include appetizers, dessert & beverages. This is Herb's favorite murder mystery!

Dinner With an Author Weekend: Featured Dr. Elton (01/22/2010 thru 01/24/2010)
Check-in on Friday and have dinner on your own. Saturday will be free to explore olmes County Amish County, pick up some cheese, bakery items, etc. Saturday evening we'll have dinner in a private Amish home with renowned author, Dr. Elton Lehman who wrote 'House Calls & Hitching Posts'. After dinner we'll retreat to the B&B where Dr. Lehman will share his experiences in the field of medicine while doctoring to the old order Amish, some stories from his book, and some of the stories that were edited from the book. Now you can witness house calls and private moments between doctors and patients. Joe brings his dismembered fingers to the office in a coffee can filled with kerosene. Katie delivers a boy for the doctor's first home-birth. And three-year-old Davy rallies to overcome a life-threatening illness at birth only to be crushed under a tractor wheel. Here are the joys and dilemmas of a family practitioner among a rural and predominantly-Amish community. Have a leisurely breakfast before checking out on Sunday.

Moonlight & Romance: A Couple's Valentine Weekend (02/12/2010 thru 02/14/2010)

The Setting: It's Mardi Gras in New Orleans and the setting is an annual masquerade ball. You will be invited to a mansion in the affluent section of New Orleans for the party. As you would expect from the most exclusive and elite in New Orleans, it will be an evening of costumes, glamour, gossip & MURDER! Old scores are settled and family secrets are exposed when Pierre DuPre, the King of the Krewe, is murdered.

The party guests must work together to determine who strangled the Mardi Gras King with a priceless vintage necklace! This mystery is played over 4 rounds where you will enjoy cocktails, appetizers, sandwiches and dessert. This is Carol's favorite murder mystery because of the colorful characters such as a swamp witch, alligator wrestler, French maid, French Quarter lawyer, and more!

Dinner with an Author: Paul Gaus (03/05/2010 thru 03/07/2010)
Check-in on Friday and have dinner on your own. Saturday will be free to explore Holmes County Amish County, pick up some cheese, bakery items, etc. Saturday evening we'll have a catered dinner in the innkeepers quarters with renowned author, Paul Gaus who wrote 'A Prayer for the Night'. After dinner Paul will share information about his book that covers Amish stage of Rumschpringe and his other 5 books.

THE BOOK
In this book Paul reveals a band of Amish youth on the Rumschpringe, quite literally a period of running around wild. "I examine the practice of allowing teenagers a chance to experience all that the English world has to offer. Amish teens in this period are permitted an astonishing amount of freedom to explore, and predictably, this often has tragic consequences. What would motivate Amish parents to allow such excesses? What dangers lie in wait for innocent and vulnerable children who must know what it is they will give up when they take their vows to live forever Amish?"

Icicle Twist: Murder Mystery Weekend (03/12/2010 thru 03/14/2010)
The Scene: Denver, Colorado Ski Area
A Denver ski trip turns to tradgedy when a guest is murdered. No one knows which of the other party guests committed the crime. Is it Alicia Tomisini, the beautiful gal from the mean streets of New York? Michael Maitland, your host and the national Director of Defense? Clues will be uncovered and motives revealed as you search for the killer. It could even be you! This mystery is played in rounds with appetizer, salad, pizza, dessert & beverages.

Woodland Melodies in Amish Country (04/09/2010 thru 04/11/2010)
Woodland Melodies is the product of Bud Preston's creative vision of combining nature with acoustic guitar music.
Enjoy a Saturday night concert at our evening campfire while snacking on cheese & cracker plate with locally made cheeses and a bottle of sparkling juice. Have you ever really stopped and noticed the sounds of nature around you? Have you noticed the symphony of birds, crickets, frogs, etc.? A blend of nature's tempo along with beautiful instrumental guitar melodies is what Woodland Melodies is all about. If you've never heard Bud Preston then you are in for a treat!

Pasta, Passion & Pistols: Murder Mystery Weekend (04/16/2010 thru 04/18/2010)
The Setting: La Sperenza Restaurant. Pepi Roni was found murdered in the kitchen of his renowned New York City eatery, La Sperenza. Pepi had been shot in the back with his own pistol. Tonight, his family and friends have gathered to pay their respects to poor Pepi and eat a feast of Italian food in his honor. Will you be the murderer?

Murder Mystery Menu includes: Wine & Cheese appetizer, pizza, antipasto salad, Baked Ziti with Garlic Bread Sticks, Dessert & Coffee.

Murder Mystery & Wine Festival (04/30/2010 thru 05/02/2010)
We'll take you on an imaginary journey to California Wine Country to the annual wine-tasting festival. The body of the winery owner is discovered and all of our guests are suspects in his murder. You will help to solve his murder as one of the characters in this mystery.
This is also the weekend that Breitenbach Winery holds their annual Dandelion Festival with winery tours, wine tasting, crafts, food, entertainment and more! Enjoy the festival on Friday and Saturday during the day and then participate in 'Taste for Wine & Murder' on Saturday evening.

Til Death Do Us Part Murder Mystery Weekend (06/04/2010 thru 06/06/2010)
The Setting: Grand Cayman, British West Indies
You're invited to the wedding party of the year! Grand Cayman's high society is gathered at the Wedding Bells Reception Hall to celebrate the whirlwind marriage of the most eligible bachelor on the island.
Millionaire playboy, Blaine Barnacle is a member of one of Cayman's most prominent families. His mysterious fiance, Bitsy Fleecer, has a shady past and plenty of secrets. When a body is discovered in the wine cellar, can the wedding guests work together to expose the killer before the police and the tabloid reporters arrive?
