Introduction

Dresden's Village Victorian Bed & Breakfasts - Dresden Ohio We would like for you to come spend the night with us, nestled in the rolling hills of the Muskingum Valley in the heart of Dresden, Muskingum County Ohio. Dresden's Village Victorian has four lovely air conditioned guest rooms with private baths and cable TV. We are within walking distance of the village shops and restaurants and can accommodate up to 11 guests. Dresden is the home of the Longaberger Basket Company. Located in southeastern Ohio there are many things to see and do within an hour of Dresden.

Though I have visited Dresden many times over the last five years that I've been a consultant, this is my
first time I stayed in a B & B in Dresden. My family really appreciated the well-decorated & comfortable room.
Thank you for your hospitality! We hope to come back soon. ~ Michael, List, Laurey & Collin

Parlor Parlor
Come embrace the elegance of the most gracious era there ever was in our 1860's Victorian home. We are located within walking distance to shopping and dining. Visit with family and friends in our charming parlors. Enjoy a delicious full breakfast in our formal dining room or just relax on our covered front porch and watch the world go by. You will feel right at home in our bed and breakfast as you enjoy cable TV, central air conditioning, your own private bath, and a bedside treat. The Village Victorian is not suitable for small children due to all the antiques within children's reach.

Rick, as you know this was our first stay in a Bed & Breakfast. I was leery at first, but I must say you won my approval
in the first few minutes upon our arrival. Your easy, friendly manner was so refreshing and we felt we acquired a
new friend! Our room was lovely & comfortable and you hospitality was superb. Thanks for all the wonderful
conversation & shopping tips as well! It was an absolute delight to spend time here! Thanks for everything. ~ Judy & Terry

History

The Dresden Village Victorian was built in the 1860s. In 1896 the porch was added. In 1976 Dick & Rita Parsons purchased the home and raised two children in it. After their children grew up and moved out, Dick & Rita saw a need for lodging in Dresden because of the increased tourist activity due to the Longaberger Company. So in the spring of 1992 they opened their home to the public as the Village Victorian Bed & Breakfast. This was the first B & B in Dresden and Muskingum County. They started out with two rooms, and then by 1996, they had four rooms as they added on to the back of the house for their living quarters. This way, the original house would be available for the guests who stayed here. In 2003 Dick & Rita thought it was time to retire and do some traveling so they graciously allowed us to purchase the Village Victorian & to continue the tradition they started over 12 years ago. In July of 2003 we took over the operation of running the Dresden Village Victorian and to continue to give our guests a comfortable, clean and beautiful place to spend the night.

Dining Room

Truly enjoyed your beautiful home, especially your front porch. A great
place to relax & kick back. Breakfast was great. ~ Gaye & Kaye

I was so impressed with the Victorian home when I stayed here in the spring that I re-visited with another friend.
Your B & B is much better than any Hotel/Motel ever! I love the personal touch! It is a home away from home. ~ Sarah

Five of us stayed at the lovely Village Victorian on our annual fall pilgrimage to Dresden. We have been to
Dresden several times, but this is our first stay at this special place. We are so grateful to have enjoyed
the beauty and elegance of the very fine Bed & Breakfast. The home was just perfect for us and we are planning
to return next year. The fall decorations are gorgeous and the breakfast was perfect. Thanks for everything!
