Old World Charm The former home of a prominent Wooster family, the newly restored Black Squirrel Inn is an 1880 Victorian "painted lady" featuring an original Gothic "gingerbread" side porch, a double bracket roofline, 10' ceilings, double parlor with pocket doors, and handsome fireplaces in both sitting room and dining room.

Located at 636 College Avenue in Wooster, the Black Squirrel Inn is within walking distance of the College of Wooster campus and Freedlander Theater, summer home of the celebrated Ohio Light Opera, and of downtown Wooster and its award winning cityscape.

The Inn's central location assures easy access to The Secrest Arboretum, the campuses of the Ohio Agricultural Research Center and the Agricultural Technical Institute, both thriving centers for research and education affiliated with Ohio State University.

Routes 83 and 250 will take you, in minutes, to the bucolic beauty of the Amish country, a world that still retains its 19th century profound spirituality and the simplicity of its unique life-style.
