Barrister's End is a vintage home built in a prosperous residential neighborhood in 1897 by Walter D. Foss, a longtime president of the Wooster Brush Company and a leading business man. In 1926, Mr. Foss gifted his home to Zion Lutheran Church to be used as an annex. Earl and Marie Shaffter purchased the home in 1942 and lived in it until their deaths. It was then sold at auction in 1995 to Dick Kinder and Tom Gross. Later that year, Douglas and Jamie Klingelhoefer purchased the house and began its current restoration. Kevin and Kathy Barnet purchased the house in January, 2006, and continue to run it as a bed and breakfast.
