Introduction
With stunningly beautiful ocean views and spacious private terrazas off of every guest room,...
"View from the Villa"
... Agua Azul la Villa offers a tranquil vacation destination in a tropical non-smoking environment for adults.
Agua Azul la Villa is located on placid Conejos Bay in a quiet, prestigious residential area of Huatulco. It is an easy 20 minute drive from the Huatulco International Airport. We are three minutes by car to the hotels and restaurants in Tangolunda Bay; five minutes to the golf course with its pool and tennis courts; and ten minutes to either the Marina in Santa Cruz or the colorful Mexican community of La Crucecita, each of which has parks, markets, shops and restaurants. Best of all, it is only a three minute walk to Tejoncito, a sandy, tranquil, private beach. Agua Azul la Villa overlooks this beach.
About Huatulco
Known as "The best kept secret in Mexico", Huatulco (wa-TOOL-co) is Mexico's premiere Eco-Resort. Located on the Pacific Coast less than 200 miles south of Acapulco in the state of Oacaca, Huatulco enjoys sunshine almost all year.
The Bays of Huatulco are made up of a series of small bays and coves including 35 beaches. We believe that it is the most beautiful spot on the Pacific coast mainly because of the many unspoiled beaches that stretch along the 18 miles of jagged coastline that comprise the nine Bays of Hautulco. Each bay has its own unique character. Some have several beaches which form little pockets nestled into the towering cliffs, others are wide open to the surf, and still others have coral reefs with crystalline water and numerous species of tropical fish. Here it is possible to see giant sea turtles and pods of dolphin. The foothills of the Sierra Madre del Sur mountains form a framework for each of the bays. With its pristine palm-lined streets, Huatulco is truly an unspoiled tropical paradise where 70% of the area has been designated as an ecological zone. Some of the popular activities here include: snorkeling, scuba diving and deep-sea fishing as well as golf, white water rafting, birdwatching and eco-tours.
Designed as a Bed & Breakfast in the Pacific Coast style, Agua Azul la Villa integrates architecture and landscape and relies heavily on natural materials. The décor is eclectic and uses Mayan textiles and objets d'art from Mexico and Guatemala.
The pool area is divided into 4 sections including a palapa, gardens and open terraces where you can soak up the sun. There are two pools, the lower of which is 30 feet long; the upper pool is equipped with seating and is a great place to cool off while enjoying an icy beverage.
All of the six guest rooms offer private ensuite bathrooms, queen sized beds, air conditioners and ceiling fans, large private terraces and spectacular ocean vistas to the horizon. Drift off to sleep to the sound of the surf... rise to a perfect Oaxacan sunrise.
Breakfast is served in the main salon under a domed palapa (palm thatched) roof 30 feet in diameter. This room is at your disposal for playing cards or board games or just chatting with fellow guests.
The library is a comfortable den-like setting where you can exchange a book or send an E-Mail home.
Our continental breakfast includes: fresh squeezed juice, ripe tropical fruits, granola with milk or yogurt, a variety of fresh baked goods, and, of course... our famous locally grown Oaxaca coffee.
Your Canadian hosts, Brooke and Richard Gazer, live onsite year round. We are knowledgeable about the area, can arrange a variety of tours and activities as well as recommend restaurants and points of interest.
