Introduction

This delightful B & B is located in the heart of the old whaling village of Greenport. This quaint village with many historic homes still retains its old world charm. History comes alive in the shops and other attractions. The 1897 Victorian Lady boasts one of the most ideal locations in town, just one block from the seaport, antique shops, restaurants, carousel, art galleries and more. 1897 Victorian Lady - Greenport, New York

The rear portion of the Victorian Lady was built in 1837, with the front portion being added in 1897. The restoration of the Victorian Lady has produced a warm and inviting atmosphere that gives guests the feeling of stepping back in time. The house has a corner tower that runs from the basement clear to the attic area. There are many large windows adding to the sunny charm of this wonderful old house, as well as, two fireplaces, a wainscoted archway, and decorated "Tudor" ceilings.

guest room All three rooms of this intimate weekend getaway are beautifully furnished with antiques and Victorian period pieces. A full breakfast is served by candlelight each morning. The meal is more than ample and consists of fresh fruit (in season), breads, muffins, cereals, eggs, pancakes or French toast. The menu is varied each day. Breakfast is served in the sunny and spacious formal dining room where guests are once again surrounded by charming Victorian furnishings.
