• Bed & Breakfast Overview: Will you make a good innkeeper?, Types of Bed & Breakfast's, & Operations Overview.
• Researching: Location, The Market, Zoning, Licensing, Insurance, Inn Size, Regulations. Setting Up The Inn: Decorating & Furnishing, Guest Rooms, Staff, Parking, Breakfast, Safety Considerations.
• How to set up boundaries: Be ready to handle difficult situations with a prepared and acceptable manner. Do not be caught off guard. You will learn how to say no without having to say you are sorry. How to deal with cancellations, charge cards, minimum stays and group bookings.
• Operations: Reservations, Amenities, Policies, Housekeeping, Procedures, Professionalism & Office Operations. Everything that will make your job more efficient and professional – as if you have been doing it for years.
• Marketing: Brochures, Occupancy Analysis, B&B Books, Travel Writers, Promotions, Marketing Sources, & Related Information.
• Networking – with other b&b’s and local community organizations – as well as other businesses that could mutually benefit a relationship with each other.
