Built in 1785, The Van Schaack House has retained the beauty and elegance of its time - much like the quaint countryside town of Kinderhook, New York. The Van Schaack House is within easy driving distance of Hudson, Chatham, Tanglewood, Rhinebeck, and Saratoga. Come and visit the Hudson Valley and Columbia County and step back in time at the Van Schaack House.

Culinary Institute graduate Herminio Ramirez provides the fare certain to whet the appetite of visitors. A full breakfast is served each morning during your stay.

Antique furnishings and beautifully landscaped grounds, as well as a library and WIFI access greet guests. Several other rooms are weaved though the intricate layout of the mansion, each offering a private, comfortable setting. The Van Schaack House offers four elegant accommodations featuring private baths, cable TV/DVDs, and robes and bath products.

Guest Rooms Rates
The John Jay Room is a spacious room with a queen bed and direct access to the upstairs porch. $210
The Martin Van Buren Room offers a beautiful view and has a king bed and direct access to the upstairs porch. $210
The Sarah Roosevelt Room features pastel décor and four-poster queen bed with front facing view of the grounds and garden. $190
The Judge Benson Room is a smaller with a full sized bed. $150

Policies:

  • VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Personal checks with valid ID and cash are acceptable forms of payment.
  • A 50% credit card deposit is due when making your reservation.-
  • In-season reservations require a minimum 2-night stay on the weekends and a minimum 3-night stay on holiday weekends.
  • Cancellations made 14 days in advance will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made inside the 14-day window will receive a credit for future use.
  • Check-in: 3 p.m.
  • Check-out: 12 noon.
  • No children under 12.
  • No pets.
  • No smoking.
