Breakfast is served at individual tables in the breakfast room (the earliest part of the house). Enjoy the ambiance of candlelight and classical music while you dine. On chilly mornings, our guests warm up by the cozy fireplace. Breakfast always begins with a carefully selected fresh fruit platter, juice and hot beverages. A typical breakfast main course might consist of silver-dollar blueberry pancakes with sausages, whipped butter and maple syrup or our special version of egg-in-a-nest: a potato bread French toast, an egg at the center, finished with a layer of Muenster cheese and sizzling ham. French toast topped with fresh berries is a popular alternative for vegetarians.
In fine weather, a hearty homemade breakfast is elegantly served in our enchanting garden (to the accompaniment of birdsong). Green market umbrellas shade al fresco diners.
Guests, who prefer, may enjoy the indoor air-conditioned comfort of the Breakfast Room.
In winter, or on chilly weekends, the Breakfast Room (the very earliest part of the house) is cheered by candlelight, a cozy fire, and light classical music.
A delightful experience assured, whatever the season!
Guest rooms are also done to the period and decorated with Ralph Lauren fabrics and bedding. Fluffy down comforters top the antique beds. Both Carriage House and Garden Room offer the additional amenity of in-room gas fireplaces.
Beyond offering a wonderfully comfortable place for a refreshing night's sleep, each guest room invites relaxation in its own comfy sitting area, with television.
Unusually pretty private baths; some equipped with jetted tubs, rooms are air conditioned.
We hope you enjoy your stay at the Sugar Loaf Bed & Breakfast.
We look forward to seeing you again!
