Staten Island is coterminous with Richmond County, the southernmost county in the state of New York. It is famous for its annual Film Festival that usually takes place in June, while the Comedy Festival occurs every August. Staten Island is a good place to visit with lots of places of interest. During your stay you might also want to visit the Conference House Park. It is located near Staten Island and is the site of a 1776 peace conference between representatives of the Continental Congress and the Commander of British Forces during the Revolutionary War.
