Captain Schoonmaker's Bed & Breakfast

Located on the second floor of the c.1760 Stone House is a large, beautiful, very private room with 2 foot wide floor boards & original exposed beams and stone walls. The room features a Queen size bed, sitting area by the Wood Burning Fireplace, Cable TV/VCR, clock radio, Air-conditioner, ceiling fan, hairdryer, iron, small fridge & coffee maker. Four deep set windows are overlooking the lawn, gardens & stream in the distance. The cottage style bathroom is tucked under the eaves and has a whirlpool bathtub/shower & pedestal sink. There is a second sink & vanity in the bedroom. This room is available as a 2 bedroom suite, the second smaller bedroom has a Double Antique Iron Bed. $195 per night ($295 as a 2 bedroom suite)

The post and beam barn, built in 1810, was renovated to include 4 charming guest rooms. In different seasons enjoy seeing Whitetail deer, wild turkeys, Blue Heron, Black Bears, Muskrats, hawks and a large variety of birds from your balcony or windows. Canopy or 4 Poster beds are part of our Eclectic Early American decor. Four air-conditioned rooms are furnished with country antiques. All rooms in the Carriage House have Private Bathrooms, and Balconies over-looking the trout stream and woodlands. All rooms have bath amenities which include Bayberry Soap, Conditioning Shampoo, Hand lotion, Shower gel and Bath Salts for rooms with whirlpool tubs. There are No in-room televisions or phones to disturb you. TV/DVD players are in the Solarium & Living Room of main house. A small guest refrigerator and hot water maker with tea & coffee is available in the lobby of the Carriage House. A Senseo Pod Coffee Maker and Homemade Cookies are always available in the Library of the Stone House.

• Due to our intimate size, any cancellation affects us significantly. Consequently, we adhere to the following cancellation policy. If a cancellation is made 14 days or more prior to your arrival date, you may elect to either receive a refund, less a $25 handling fee, or apply the entire amount of your deposit toward a future stay. If your cancellation is made less than 14 days prior to your arrival date, the deposit will be forfeited.
• For reservations made over holiday weekends, cancellations must be received at least 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival. Should it be necessary for you to depart earlier than your confirmed dates, you will be responsible for all of the original nights booked for your intended stay. Wedding Guests and other groups of 3 or more rooms: Full payment for all rooms is due one month in advance of arrival date and is non-refundable (NO Exceptions)
• When you reserve a room we agree to turn away all other requests for the room you select and guarantee to hold it for the day(s) you request. You agree to pay the rate quoted for the number of days you reserve it. An acceptance of your deposit is the confirmation of your reservation.
